What happens if you raise more than requested?
Any funds raised beyond the above stretch goals will be put towards business expenses (like product marketing) and future projects. This includes Creepy Kawaii projects, and other artistic projects by myself.

Your design seems very "on the nose" as to what is currently going on in the world... Are you trying to profit off the current pandemic?
I had drawn out Plague Doctor designs well before the pandemic (see my Hierophant card in last year’s Tarot deck), and even before that I had sketched out a few Plague Doctor ideas for a friend’s character in his tabletop game. As mentioned in the opening paragraph I always wanted to do a design with a Plague Doctor mask, and putting it on a corvid (Crow/Raven) just seemed to make sense. Even when I published the design on social media (and subsequently went into prototyping) the scope of the pandemic had not quite hit the world as we know it today. It is simply a coincidence that things have lined up the way they have.
That being said, as the saying goes “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. I’m rolling with the punches life keeps dishing out, and adapting from it. I, like THOUSANDS of other Artists worldwide, have been impacted by the loss of shows / conventions / events (& revenue from them), and I am just trying to do my best to keep my business alive (and a roof over my daughter and I’s heads) by offering new & exciting products to my lineup. I felt it would be silly to put this project on hold for an unknown time because of world circumstances beyond my control, especially when I have already put so much time and effort into it.

Why should I pledge towards your Kickstarter now if you will offer it later on your website?
Kickstarter is an all or nothing platform, meaning if one doesn’t reach their first funding goal, they don’t get to keep the money pledged below that initial funding goal. And if that initial funding goal isn’t hit, well, the reward items just won’t be able to be made! When backers pledge towards goals, not only are they making it so an item can get funded in at its most important time, but said item(s) may be produced in limited quantity, thus guaranteeing they will get said item before it becomes more publicly available.
When I personally run a Kickstarter, I generally only order a set amount of reward items, and once those items are sold out, they are gone forever. For every plush I have produced thus far, I have only ordered 500 pieces of each design. I feel by doing this it makes the plush more “collectible” and more desirable to back in a Kickstarter. Obviously depending on how well this Kickstarter does I may need to order more than 500 pieces to meet the demand of my backers, but I won’t know that until the very end.
I also usually offer special Kickstarter pricing on select items, like Early Bird tiers, so pledging early can potentially save you money from regular retail pricing!

I've seen ads for Plague Birb on Facebook/Instagram advertising a much cheaper rate. Why should I pledge here when I can order it there for cheaper?
The short answer is because since they are actually scammer websites that steal product images from creators like myself and they will not be able to deliver an official Creepy Kawaii Plague Birb/Plague Nurse to you. You will have given them money for nothing, and there is absolutely nothing I can do to get that back for you.
These types of companies do not have the authority to sell my plush, and they are simply out there just to scam people out of their money. Usually if it sounds too good to be true, it is. The ONLY place you can get a Plague Birb/Plague Nurse is on this Kickstarter, or after they are produced on my wesbite www.creepykawaii.com (either online, or through one of my official wholesalers/retailers that are mentioned on my website).
PLEASE make sure you are reporting these types of ads when they pop up on your social media feeds, they usually block creators like myself from commenting after they see the IP owner come after them.
Please make sure you are supporting the official Artists/Creators when you buy products online. I know the discount is very tempting, but it deeply hurts creative types like myself and my artist friends.

Last Updated At: 09/21/20What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
